March 29th - ALOHA FROM THE FAR EAST

WOOOOOOOOOOO! Another theme show placed under the BIG BELT BUCKLE of The Surfphony of Derstruction! This week, we hit the pacific ocean hangin' ten and saw what we could get up to in the Far East! It was a bit of a loose theme and I allowed some breathing room to hit up the casbah as well as stop in at the ol' watering hole down in the amazon jungles! Jungle Exotica was the album of choice for this show, having spun many of the tracks from this fantastic compilation. Dig the playlist below...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOoooo! WOOOOOOOOOO-HAT A SHOW!! BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG DRIFT!! THE SURFPHONY OF DERSTRUCTION had to take a 180 when I found out that it would be SOCAN tracking period!! March 15th - CALL OF THE WEST

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!!! HEY COWFINKS!! Sheriff Derk Brigante here again for The Surfphony of Derstruction! This episode, we heard THE CALL OF THE WEST and found ourselves out in the Wild West lookin' for somewhere to SURF! The tide decided to meet us halfway and so we had plenty of cacti and seaweed to go around! The specialty of this week's Surfphony of Derstruction was all sorts of Western sounding Surf! Yeehaw! Something unusual about this show was that much of the artists were CANADIAN! HUH?! Kind of unusual seeing as many of the artists are from the Great White North rather than the Wild West! I guess Canadians never forgot the Alamo either!

Canadian artists are in BOLD

Good thing is that nothing was in our way this week and The Surfphony was at full throttle ALL NIGHT! woooooooo! Great show this week, LOTS of new stuff got some play! I've felt like I've been playing a lot of the same bands lately (not to say the show is going downhill OH NO) so I made an effort to try and play some bands that have had little to no play on The Surfphony!! Dig it!

MArch 1st

Hello there finks! This week's Surfphony of Derstruction fell again on the first of the month! KOOL! Just the same ol' surfin' time we had this week with a few special songs courtesy of the Cruis'n' USA soundtrack. Originally released in 1994, Cruis'n' USA was all about racing through different U.S. locales with some really sweet music! A couple of Surf tracks, some bluegrass boogie and even a wacky techno track makes Cruis'n' USA one of my favorite game soundtracks. I've posted a couple of videos of the soundtrack below. DIG IT
